Russia is about to ban imports of certain vegetables and other products from Poland and Ukraine

Russia plans to ban the import of all kinds of cabbages from Poland and sunflower, corn meal and soybean from Ukraine.

According to the Russian veterinary and phytosanitary control agency, cabbages imported from Poland contain animal pest, and western flower thrips.

Russian officials announced on Tuesday that due to multiple violations of Russian regulations import ban planned to be introduced on eating sunflowers, soya beans and ground grain from Ukraine.

The same day Belarus announced that by following Russia's example, it bans all beef, milk and dairy product imports from Ukraine.

Russia banned the import of Ukrainian beef, milk and dairy products on July 8 and July 28. In the first six months of this year Ukrainian dairy product export to Russia exceeded $ 106.2 million.
