Friday, August 8, 2014

Jobbik and the Sixty-four County Youth Movement demonstrated at the Ukrainian Embassy in Budapest Friday afternoon against the Ukrainian government's decision to send Hungarian and Rusyn youth to the eastern front.

The rally attended by among others Jobbik vice-President István Szávay, Honorary President of the Sixty-four County Youth Movement László Toroczkai, member of the World Council of Transcarpathian Ruthenians Anatoly Szava, Jobbik vice-President Előd Novák, Jobbik spokeswoman Dóra Dúró and Member of the European Parliament Krisztina Morvai

Speakers expressed the strong desire of the Hungarian and Rusyn communities to implement the result of the 1991 referendum when the overwhelming majority of the population voted for self-determination. They also emphasized that the autonomy should be achieved by peaceful means.
