Obviously, these retarded half-wits don't understand, that the Russian sanctions affect HU simply b/c of EU membership. [HU got into WW1 the SAME stupid way, b/c of idiotic alliance(s). Look at the utter, total disaster it became.]

The USA-EU STARTED the economic boycott over Crimea - which was a totally legitimate procedure from both historical, cultural and ethnicity of population parameters, through an untainted, observed, squeaky clean plebiscite. Ukraine had zero historical or cultural legitimacy to Crimea; it was annexed to Ukraine on a personal whim of the Soviet dictator Khrushchev in 1954. (Khrushchev was Ukranian by ethnicity).

To this day, Crimea's population was 70% Russian, and the rest a motley of nationalities from Crimean Tatars to Ukranians.
The principle of "self determination" was cleanly and properly(!) applied by Russia with the plebiscite.
BTW: They HAD to protect their naval base too, which gives them access to the Black sea and the Mediterranean. It was planned to be turned into a US naval base after the Kiev putsch, the US Navy tenders to bid for modifications of various facilities and buildings for US Navy use in Sevastopol were already out - and canceled after Russia took back Crimea.
I have SEEN the tenders to bid!!

This illegal(!) US/EU sanction(s) HAD to be responded to by Russia. It's too bad that it affects HU, but this is what you get with STUPID alliances, b/c the morons learned NOTHING from history. Nothing at all.

It is the truly stupid, who is unable to learn from his own mistakes and HU - unfortunately fits that description - i.e. long term disasters for short term gains. Idiocy of spectacular proportions. It'll get WORSE - trust me.

Russian Strategy in the Face of Anglo-American Imperialism
The Beginning of World Shift by Thierry Meyssan

Anglo-Saxon agression against Russia is taking the form of financial and economic warfare. However, Moscow is preparing for armed hostilities by developing its agricultural self-sufficency and multiplying its alliances. For Thierry Meyssan, after the creation of the caliphate in the Levant, Washington would lay down a new card in September in St. Petersburg. The ability of Russia to maintain its internal stability will determine the course of events.
The offensive led by Anglos-Saxons (USA, UK and Israel) for world domination continues on two lines simultaneously: both the creation of the "Greater Middle East" (Greater Middle East) by attacking simultaneously Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine, and separating Russia from the European Union through the crisis they organised in Ukraine.
In this sprint, it seems that Washington wants to impose the dollar as the single currency in the gas market, the energy source of the twenty-first century, the way it imposed it on the oil market.
...Russia is now the leading power capable of leading the resistance to Anglo-Saxon imperialism. It has three tools: BRICS, an alliance of economic rivals who know they can not grow up without one another, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a strategic alliance with China to stabilize Central Asia and finally, the Organization for Collective Security Treaty, a military alliance of former Soviet states.
...Recognizing that European leaders are not working for the interests of their people, but for those of the Anglo-Saxons, Russia has gnawed at the bit and refrained from going to war in Ukraine. It supports the insurgents with arms and intelligence, and hosts more than 500,000 refugees, but declines to send troops into the fray. It probably will not happen until the vast majority of Ukrainians revolt against President Poroshenko, even if it does not enter the country until after the fall of the People’s Republic of Donetsk.
Faced with economic warfare, Moscow has chosen to respond with similar measures, but in agriculture, not finance. Two considerations guided this choice: first, short-term, other BRICS can mitigate the consequences of so-called "sanctions"; on the other hand, medium and long term, Russia is preparing for war and intends to completely rebuild its agriculture to go it alone.
...Considering the imminent danger, Moscow would have been able to convince Beijing to accept the accession of India in exchange for that of Iran (but also those of Pakistan and Mongolia) to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO )...

Washington Chokes Truth With Lies by Paul Craig Roberts

Are Western propagandists fooling anyone but themselves?

The latest absurdity coming out of Ukraine, the EU and Washington is that the humanitarian aid that Russia and the Red Cross are trucking into the former Russian territories that comprise eastern Ukraine is a trick, a deception, a pretext for Russia’s invasion forces. Such a preposterous lie tells us that Western propagandists have no respect whatsoever for the intelligence of Western peoples.

Even a moron should understand that if Russia wants to send military forces into Ukraine, Russia doesn’t need any pretext, much less a joint humanitarian venture with the Red Cross. The eastern Ukraine, following Crimea’s lead, has already voted both independence from Kiev and in favor of rejoining Russia. If Russia needed an excuse, the decisions by the eastern Ukrainians made months ago suffice. But Russia needs no excuse to rescue Russians from being slaughtered by Washington’s stooges like Palestinians in Gaza.

By its inaction, the Russian government is providing Washington’s vassal states in Europe time to comprehend that Washington, not Russia, is the problem, and that Washington intends for the cost of its conflict with Russia to fall on Europeans.

The opposition from Washington, Washington’s EU vassals, and Washington’s stooges in Kiev to the inflow of humanitarian aid is due to the West’s desperate attempt to keep the world from knowing about the massive destruction by Washington and its stooges of civilian lives, housing, and infrastructure in those former Russian territories who are
directly threatened by the Russophobic extremists that Washington has installed in power in Kiev.

The Western presstitute media has added yet another failure to its long inglorious history by failing to report the atrocities inflicted on a people who see no future for themselves in a country ruled by murderous Russophobic criminals installed in power by Washington...

Russia Knocks Out EU

The European Commission has formed a group to assess the losses inflicted by Russian food embargo. The overall damage could be 12 billion euros. The EU has only 400 million euros earmarked for compensation. The experts of the Food and Agriculture Organizationof the United Nations (FAO) believe the European Union, the United States, Canada and Norway will have to urgently find new markets for products exported to Russia until now. Concepción Calpe, a senior economist at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), estimates that the countries under the sanctions will have to look for new markets in China, Latin America and the Caribbean. The fruits and vegetables storage and conservation will be a real problem. Brussels obediently followed the US policy on Ukraine and received a sensitive retaliatory blow against its agricultural sector as a result.
...russels is trying its true and tried policy of political pressure. It started talks with Latin American states to dissuade them from stepping in to replace Europe’s banned agricultural exports to Russia. The Russia's ban on Western food products offered a lucrative windfall for meat exporting Brazil. About 90 new meat plants in this country were immediately approved to export beef, chicken and pork to Russia and Chile hopes to be a leading beneficiary of Russia’s embargo on fish. The Financial Times reports, that such excitement in the agricultural powerhouses of Latin America has triggered concern in Brussels.

In every empire the time comes, when the hubris supersedes common sense and a series of (ultimately fatal) mistakes are made, something akin to the "death by a thousand cuts".
The USA is well along this path; any attentive outsider can see it - clearly.
However, the idiots in Washington in their self-delusional stupor think that all those weapons have made them invincible. A war of hardware they can still win. However, it's not only about hardware...
Britain's win of WW1 was that empire's deathknell, and WW2 was the nails in the coffin. They won both wars - thinking they're an "invincible, powerful Empire". Yet today, they're back to a shitty island nation, and Scotland is about to dump them too (to be followed by the Welsh).

The EU puppet states - of the Empire, should learn from the crisis and, as much as possible, chart an independent path looking after local citizens, business, agriculture, etc. instead of Globalist interests. The West rebuffed Russia's overtures to join the "club" as an equal player "partner" - Russia understood this a couple of years ago and re-orientated its foreign policy to EurAsia and South America - more willing "partners". The irony is Russia has been saying this for some time in well publicized speeches.

Ukraine in bloody chaos — Putin

... Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russian sanctions are not just retaliatory measures, but a means to support domestic producers and open up the domestic market to new partners.

“They are not just retaliatory steps. In the first place they are measures to support the domestic producers and to open up our markets to the countries and producers who are eager to cooperate with Russia and prepared for such cooperation,” the head of state said at a meeting with State Duma members in the seaside Crimean resort of Yalta on Thursday.
... “The government is currently preparing an additional program for the support of agriculture,” he told members of the State Duma lower house of parliament.

Banning the imports of a number of food items from the West, Russia acted justifiably, not violating the World Trade Organisation (WTO) rules, President Vladimir Putin said.
Isolation from the rest of the world
Russia does not seek isolation from the rest of the world, but the country intends to take the development course by relying more on domestic resources and by boosting industrial and agricultural sectors, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.
...Russia is ready to withdraw unilaterally from international treaties, if this step meets domestic interests, President Vladimir Putin added.
...In the Soviet Union, Crimea used to be part of Russia until 1954, when it was gifted to Ukraine by Soviet Communist Party leader Nikita Khrushchev.

Peru’s exports to Russia may reach $1 bln

Russia’s ban on imports of foods from a number of Western countries opens big opportunities for Peruvian manufacturers, Gaston Pacheco, the head of Peru’s Association of Exporters (ADEX), said on Wednesday.

“According to our studies, exports to Russia following its ban on food imports from Europe and the United States may reach one billion U.S. dollars,” he said, adding that the Peruvian authorities should establish closer contacts with Russia’s phytosanitary control authorities to make it possible for Peruvian exporters derive maximum profit from this situation.

Peru’s overall potential of Russia-bound exports is about 3.5 billion U.S. dollars, but the figure is smaller for exports of foods.

The unipolar governance is illegal and immoral by Vladimir Putin

On February 10th, 2007, Speaking before the Munich Conference on Security Policy, Vladimir V. Putin denounced explicitly the United States’ fantasy of the world one-sided governance as lacking any legal and moral basis. He also criticized deeply the OSCE and the subversive usage by certain States of organizations which have of non-governmental but the name.
