Strategic dialogue has been launched between Chinese and Hungarian armed forces

During his 2013 visit in China, Defense Minister Csaba Hende signed an agreement with his Chinese counterpart to start a strategic dialogue between the two country's armed forces. As a result, a delegation led by Chinese People's Liberation Army Deputy Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Wang Guanzhong visited Budapest on August 9, 2014.

The Chinese military delegation met Defense ministry deputy secretary of state for defense policy and defense planning Péter Siklósi on August 11.

The two sides discussed issues relating to the cooperation between the two armed forces and reviewed possibilities of further developing relations between the two countries; they also informed each other of national security related issues.

At the end of the meeting, Lieutenant General Wang Guanzhong and Deputy Secretary of State Péter Siklósi praised the initiative of the annual event that helps cementing relations between the two nations.
