Hungarian taekwondokas win valuable ranking points at Turkish Open

Hungarian taekwondokas won two bronze medals and one fifth place at Turkey's G1 class tournament in the 49 and 57 kg categories during the weekend in Antalya-Belek.

This year's European Championship bronze medalist Ivett Gonda (49 kg) started out among the top sixteen by defeating two Turkish opponents. In the final she lost to Ganna Soroka of Ukraine winning the bronze medal.

The other bronze medalist Edina Kotsis (57 kg) by defeating a Turkish and a Croatian opponent advanced into the final where she lost in a close match to Durdane Altunel of Turkey winning the bronze medal.

The third member of the Hungarian team Barbara Ducz finished fifth in her category.
