The number of Russian visitors traveled to Hungary doubled comparing to the previous year

In the first nine months of this year 14 percent less Russian citizens traveled to abroad than the previous year according to the Russian National Bureau of Statistics; however, more than doubled the number of Russian tourists visited Hungary.

According to Interfax news agency, overall, the number of Russian citizens traveled to abroad as tourists fell by 2 percent.

During the reported period, most Russian tourists traveled to Turkey, about 4 million, which is 10 percent more than a year before. More than 3.8 million tourists visited Finland, which is 10 percent less than the previous year. Egypt has been visited about 2.2 million Russian tourists this year, and 1.5 million visited China.

According to the Russian National Bureau of Statistics, the number of Russian tourists visited Hungary doubled comparing to last year's first nine month.

Visits to Malta decreased most significantly, by 19 percent but 14 percent fewer people traveled to Croatia as well says the report.
