Russian chocolate manufacturer started marketing "patriotic bonbons"

Tuesday, February 24, 2015

The bonbon boxes are made along the lines of the former Soviet propaganda posters, with images and slogans such as: People watch out what you say because Obama is listening!

The manufacturer also started selling lollipops with satirical portraits depicting Western leaders like US President Barack Obama, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande.

One piece of the collection, however, celebrates Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Last June in Novosibirsk, Siberia a chocolate brand was sold with packaging that depicted a Russian superman located against a map of the Crimean Peninsula with the slogan: "Crimea - come on, take it!".
