Russian-Hungarian joint venture develops duck and goose farm in Tatarstan

A Russian-Hungarian joint venture develops a duck and goose breeding farm and rearing facilities in Kirov County, Tatarstan, Russia. The joint venture will focus on manufacturing premium quality products on the basis of Hungarian waterfowl production know-how and strong blend of professional and personal experiences reported the ministry of agriculture.

According to the report, representatives of Hortobágy Goose Ltd. and Tatar businessmen agreed to start producing about a million geese and approximately 500 tons of feather in 2018 on a 5,000-square-foot site. The Russian-Hungarian company is expected to create about a thousand new jobs.

The agreement was concluded during Minister of Agriculture Sándor Fazekas' recent official visit to Russia. The Hungarian delegation accompanied by a number of business leaders that participated in several forums and workshops discussing further expansion of bilateral relations between the two countries.
