At least three thousand Hungarian school children of Transcarpathia spend summer and winter vacations in Hungarian Holiday resorts

The Hungarian government offers a wide variety of recreational activities for at least three thousand Transcarpathian Hungarian children in Hungarian resort sites said Ministerial Commissioner Zoltán Güller, and Minister of Human Resources Zoltán Balog after meeting the President of Transcarpathian Hungarian Teachers Association Ildikó Orosz, and the vice-President Transcarpathian Hungarian Cultural Association Géza Gulácsy in Kisvárda.

The Hungarian government and representatives of Transcarpathian Hungarian community signed an agreement on Wednesday about the Hungarian government's initiative to help three thousand Transcarpathian Hungarian children to vacation at least one week in Hungarian Holiday resorts and camp sites.

The agreement points out that the programs include summer camps and recreational activities during autumn and winter school breaks.

The program starts on May 13; the camps open on June 15; children will arrive in the facilities in groups of twenty accompanied by three adults. Transcarpathian children will spend seven days and nights at recreational campgrounds together with their Hungarian peers.
