China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrives in Budapest for official visit to Hungary

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán praised the ever-expanding Hungarian-Chinese economic and political cooperation after meeting Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Budapest on Saturday.

The meeting attended by Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó as well; the parties agreed to continue the development of Chinese - Hungarian relations, and to this end, they conclude specific long-term agreements.

Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó underlined that the Hungarian sovereign foreign policy's key aim is to further expand economic relations with China and make Hungary a bridgehead for Chinese expansion into the European Union.

The Chinese foreign minister also stressed that as the efforts of both countries Hungarian - Chinese relations have never been so strong as they are now.
