BREAKING: THE GOVERNMENT HAS ANNOUNCED THAT IT WILL CARRY MIGRANTS FROM THE EASTERN STATION TO THE AUSTRIAN - HUNGARIAN BORDER CROSSING STARTING TONIGHT

Friday, September 4, 2015

The head of the Prime Minister's Office János Lázár held an extraordinary press-conference announcing the decision of the central operational command that will arrange buses for migrants staying in the Eastern Transit Zone and transport them to the Hegyeshalom border crossing.

He added that since the European Commission did not offer any help to the Hungarian government, the operational command arranges buses for migrants staying at the Transit Zone and carry those want to leave to the Hungarian - Austrian border.

This does not mean that the migrants can cross the border into Austria right away; that depends on the decision of Austrian authorities.

Lázár added that the migrant problem went out of control due to Germany's ambiguous communication of its immigration policy; still no one knows what exactly Berlin's position on the issue.

No one can question the Hungarian government's compliance with the Schengen Convention said Lázár in the meantime, he emphasized that the EU demands solidarity from Hungary but no one stands in solidarity with us or give us any assistance when we are in need.
