Olympic, World and European Champion Swimmer Ágnes Kovács was inducted into the Arizona State University Hall of Fame

Sunday, October 11, 2015

The induction ceremony took place at ASU-Colorado football game half-time, in the stadium in front of 60 thousand people.

The Olympic, World and European champion swimmer was a member of the university swimming team from 2001 to 2005.

Last year, Kovács was also inducted in the International Swimming Hall of Fame.

Ágnes Kovács graduated in Arizona State University in 2005 majoring in marketing and communications. As a member of the university swimming team she set several university and NCAA-records and won US championships in 200-yard breaststroke.

"I am very happy to hear that this year I also got inducted into Arizona State University Hall of Fame said Kovács to MTI. I've lived in America for four years, and I was also a member of the university swimming team; for me besides being a professional swimmer studying was also a top priority. I'm very happy that I was honored because it proves that I've successfully achieved my goal I set as a young girl" said Kovács.

Currently, Marathon World Championship Silver Medalist Anna Olasz is also a member of the university swimming team.
