PM Viktor Orbán congratulated new Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo over the phone on her election victory and stressed the need for closer Hungarian-Polish bi-lateral relations and regional cooperation between the Visegrád-4 countries.
Polish Law and Justice party's (PiS) official website reported the news on Friday afternoon; PM Orbán called new Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo before the swearing-in ceremony as the prime minister of Poland.
The PiS website reported that Orbán asked the new Polish prime minister to make her first foreign trip to Budapest.
Beata Szydlo confirmed that one of the priorities of her government will be strengthening regional cooperation between the Visegrád-4 countries.
