"Today I was convicted by Szeged Court of Appeals for readers' comments I have no control over. I'm tired of being used by the system to set a precedent because as far as I know this was the first such decision in Hungary's judicial history" write Toroczkai on Facebook.

A journalist who is obviously not a friend of patriotic Hungarians, let me put it this way, sued Ásotthalom Mayor László Toroczkai because commenters left negative remarks about her activities on his Facebook page.

The mayor argued in vain that he had no resources to moderate comments on his Facebook page, because to do that he needed a full-time employee.

The court ordered Toroczkai to pay HUF 400 thousand to the journalist for damages. Toroczkai appealed the decision but nevertheless, he still has to pay.

In the meantime, Toroczkai called on his supporters to collect all comments that slandering him, calling him Nazi and make other defamatory remarks about him so that he can sue all websites publish those comments.
