Rumors suggest that 42-year-old Lieutenant-General, and Hero of Russia Alexei Gyjuminy will succeed Vladimir Putin after his mandate ends eight years from now.

Vladimir Putin confidant lieutenant-general coordinated Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych's rescue and the return of the Crimean peninsula to Russia.

Since last year, Alexei Gyjuminy is the deputy-commander of the Russian Ground Forces.

He is the governor of Tula Region and Defense Minister Sergei Sojgu's "favorite" man.
