Wounded Kurdish fighters arrive in Hungary "with some regularity" according to an article published in "Magyar Idők" (Hungarian Times) on Wednesday.

The care and rehabilitation of wounded Kurdish militiamen in the Hungarian Military Hospital is possible on the basis of cooperation between the Hungarian Defense Forces and Kurdish militia.

Negotiations on Hungarian treatment of Kurdish fighters conducted by Military Historian Dezső Tamás. The historian revealed that the two sides met the first time in 2014, well before Hungarian Defense Forces deployed in Iraq's Kurdistan region.

Since then, wounded Peshmerga fighters that fight against the Islamic State in Iraq have been arriving in Hungary "with some regularity" said the military historian.
