Jobbik President Gábor Vona’s decision to remove radicals from the party leadership hasn’t affected party popularity

A new poll by "Nézőpont" Research Institute shows that among decided voters Fidesz still leads by 41% followed by Jobbik 27% and the Socialist party 11%.

Despite Vona's decision to steer the party toward the political middle, the move that the liberal media reported as a split in the party, hasn’t affected Jobbik’s popularity among voters; in fact, Jobbik support grew slightly in the past month; this means that voters supporting Jobbik President Gábor Vona's decision to turn Jobbik into a people's party.

The poll also shows that the Hungarian Socialist party is on its way to become a fringe party.
