New poll by Median: Fidesz has massive popular support, more than all the other parties put together

Thursday, June 23, 2016

New poll by Median shows that Fidesz gained four percent support this month compared to April. Currently, 37 percent of the total population support the Fidesz party, which is more than all the other parties put together - according to a representative poll taken in mid-June by Median for HVG.

According to the survey, Fidesz support today is as high as it was in 2014.

Jobbik has 12 percent, and the Socialist Party has 9 percent support. Fringe parties' support is around 5 percent or below.

Twenty-nine percent of respondents said they had no party preference.

According to two-thirds of respondents, Fidesz will win the upcoming general elections; even a third of opposition supporters agrees with that.

The popularity ranking of leading politicians also shows massive Fidesz support. The first nine place is taken by pro-government politicians.

Jobbik President Gábor Vona is at 10th place. The popularity of leading liberal opposition politicians dropped significantly since April according to the poll.
