FM Péter Szijjártó: Hungary’s goal is to become an engine of EU-Central Asia cooperation

Hungary wants to become the engine of EU-Central Asia cooperation, because such cooperation is European and Hungarian interests said Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó after meeting his Kyrgyz counterpart in Budapest on Wednesday.

The Hungarian foreign minister stressed that Kyrgyzstan is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union; the two sides agreed that pragmatic cooperation between the European Union and the Eurasian Union should be raised to a higher level.

Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Erlan Abdildajev said that current Hungarian-Kyrgyz relations are excellent but the two sides must pay more attention to economic cooperation in the future.
