Rio Olympics 2016: GABRIELLA SZABÓ and DANUTA KOZÁK Olympic Champions in women’s K-2 500 m

Tuesday, August 16, 2016

Danuta Kozák picked up an intestinal infection right after arriving in Rio; yesterday, she competed sick.

“I had a good sleep tonight, but I'm not 100 percent yet. I did not believe that the Germans came so strong; I thought we've lost the race, I did not see properly from behind. I had to ask Gabi who won.”

“We started kayaking 20 years ago and the fact that we stand here today next to each other, a dream come true” said Danuta.
