Rio Olympics 2016: Sabre fencer Áron Szilágyi defended his Olympic Championship title

Áron Szilágyi: "This was a very hard-won Olympic gold medal. I'm very tired both physically and mentally. I gave the maximum out of myself; I had to solve difficult situations right from the beginning," said Szilágyi in the mixed zone after the announcement of the results. "Maybe this time, I haven't been in the same physical condition as I was in London, but by determination, knowledge, awareness, concentration and strategy I managed to solve the most difficult situations."

The medal table still looks pretty good!
