The head of La France Rebelle launched a fundraising drive in France and contributed more than a million forints toward buying a new vehicle for Ásotthalom town guards that protecting the southern borders from the influx of illegal immigrants.

Before, the town guards used an old Russian made Lada Niva that constantly broke down and spent more time in garage getting repaired than in the field chasing migrants.

The honorary citizenship certificate handed over to Philippe Gibelin by the Mayor of Ásotthalom László Toroczkai.

I'm glad that we too could contribute a little bit to the preservation of Hungarian culture in these difficult times said Philippe Gibelin.

He praised the town of Ásotthalom that stood up against mass migration defending Europe's external borders.

The head of La France Rebelle assured Ásotthalom local government that the municipality can continue counting on his help.

Ásotthalom local government plans to erect a statue for Italian Franciscan Friar John of Capistrano (Kapisztrán János in Hungarian) who is a great symbol of European border protection. (Famous as a preacher, theologian, and inquisitor, he earned himself the nickname 'the Soldier Saint' when in 1456 at age 70 he led a crusade against the invading Ottoman Empire at the siege of Belgrade with the Hungarian military commander John Hunyadi. -- wikipedia)

La France Rebelle supports the plan and launches a fundraising drive in France in the coming days said Philippe Gibelin.
