Rabbi Slomó Köves rejects Jobbik's Hanukkah greeting

Wednesday, December 28, 2016

Jobbik leaders sent a greeting message to the Hungarian Jewish community on the occasion of Hanukkah; the message however, was not well-received by some representatives of the Jewish community. Rabbi Slomó Köves in his reply suggested to Jobbik leaders it would be better to demonstrate this gesture on their forums, where they spread and promote darkness rather than light.

The letters can be read below.

The letter has been signed by Jobbik President Gábor Vona and Spokesperson Ádám Mirkóczki.
