The Sixty-four Counties Youth Movement's Székesfehérvár branch (HVIM) revives an old Epiphany tradition

Wednesday, January 11, 2017

According to an old tradition, those who deep-dive in the icy water on Epiphany day will stay healthy in the whole year. In the past, at this time of the year a priest threw a crucifix in the icy water, which had to be recovered by those participated in the ritual.

Members of the HVIM have decided to revive this old tradition; despite the bitter cold (-20 C) several members of the organization completed the challenge.
