Nearly half of Hungarians (47 percent) oppose EU sanctions against Russia, and only a third (33 percent) sympathize with them - according to a new poll by Nézőpont Intézet.
Most of those opposing the sanctions are sympathisers of the governing parties (58 percent), but 51 per cent of left-wing party supporters also against sanctions.
Nearly two-thirds of the total adult population (63 percent) supporting Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Hungary on February 2nd, and only 20 percent opposing it.
The poll was conducted by telephone interviewing one thousand adults between January 20-23, 2017.
