Betyársereg scared away extremist liberal sympathizers from staging an anti-Horthy protest in Kálóz

Sunday, May 21, 2017

Originally, the Horthy statue was planned to be unveiled in Perkáta, but due to the local government’s backing out of the project in the last minute, the statue was unveiled in the small Fejér county settlement of Kálóz.

Earlier, supporters of an extremist liberal party led by former Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany announced an anti-Horthy demonstration at the unveiling site; but when they've learned that members of Betyársereg also attend the ceremony they shied away from the protest.

The statue was unveiled at Zichy Castle Park in Kálog. Besides members of Betyársereg, the unveiling ceremony also attended by members of Identitesz, HVIM and the Mayor of Érpatak Zoltán Mihály Orosz. Since the extremist liberal demonstrators haven’t shown up the event ended peacefully.
